MEET RICHELLE
Hi, I’m Richelle. I have been based in Goa, India for most of my life. I’m a trained Counsellor and Narrative Practitioner with over 7 years of experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, and I have acquired a South Asian Diploma in Narrative Practices from Narrative Practices India
My venture into the realm of mental health was sparked by my own personal journey, intertwining with the lives of my family and friends. These experiences sparked a curiosity that impelled me to explore the intricacies of the human psyche. This introspective journey kindled a passion within me to empower individuals on their path to self-discovery and foster insights into their interpersonal relationships.
As an empathetic practitioner, I hope to create a brave and
non-judgemental space where individuals feel invited to share their vulnerabilities without fear. I hold this understanding very close during our therapeutic process that, vulnerabilities are just a part of the human experience . Holding space for such vulnerabilities and to fully express them is vital to be able to delve deeper into understanding the patterns that keep you stuck in a cycle.
My practice leans towards insight rather than quick solutions as I understand that growth or healing often stems from exploring the depths of one’s emotions, experiences and thought patterns. I am of the belief that, more often than not, people are not the problem, but the problem is located within the systems that surround them. Hence, I strive to hold systems accountable and acknowledge their external influences on an individual’s well-being.
